What Holanox does
One job, done narrowly: prove the person is real, and prove it's them.
Holanox isn't a login, a background check, or a data broker. It answers a single question for the service that calls it — is this the genuine individual? — and keeps the sensitive proof on its own side of the wall.
Professional identity or selfie
Verification is anchored to an established LinkedIn profile — a real, accountable professional presence that's hard to fabricate — or, where that isn't available, to a selfie the person provides at verification.
Live video check
The person records a short live video, matched against their anchor — the LinkedIn profile photo or the selfie provided — confirming a live individual, not just the same name or a stolen photo.
Token, not data
On a pass, Holanox issues a verification ID. The calling service gets the token and the confirmed status — never the underlying proof.
How it works
Four steps, then a token.
The person is handed to Holanox by the service they're joining, completes verification, and is handed back with a result. The service waits on that result before doing anything.
Handed off
The service redirects the person to Holanox — "Verify your identity for [service]." They confirm they're in the right place.
Connect LinkedIn
The person signs in with LinkedIn through Holanox, which confirms control of a real professional identity and supplies the verified profile photo as the reference the live video is matched against. Where LinkedIn isn't available, the person provides a selfie at verification, which serves as that reference instead.
Live video check
The person records a short verification video — saying a phrase generated on the spot and performing a simple action, recorded plainly. Holanox matches it against the reference (the LinkedIn photo or the provided selfie) and confirms a live person, not a stolen photo or a polished fake. Borderline results go to human review, not an automatic pass.
Result returned
Holanox returns verified, failed, or review to the service — and nothing else. The service acts only on verified.
Data separation
The proof stays here. The service only learns the answer.
Holanox is a separate service and a separate data controller from the products that use it. That isn't a detail — it's the design. If a calling service is ever compromised, the verification evidence isn't in it to be taken.

Holanox retains verification video and face vectors only as long as a verification needs them, keeps audit records for a defined period, and operates under a privacy notice distinct from any calling service. Verification protects the person being verified first — including against someone trying to register in their name.
